Episode 14: Thunderation!

Ash and Pikachu challenge Vermillion Gym, hoping for a Thunderbadge.  We get to see some evolution angst, and whether or not I can podcast while on pain medication.   Even team rocket cheers us on... if you want to call that a cheer...

    First off, I hope you are okay! It sounded like your accident was pretty serious, so I hope you have a safe and quick recovery.

    Anyways, this episode was pretty intense. My favorite parts of the episode are the ones involving Ash, Pikachu and the thunderstone. I really like how this situation was handled and I felt that these scenes had strong emotion to them. One of the things that I always disliked about this episode was Lt. Surge's height. It's not that I don't like the character, my problem is how he was a giant compared to every other character. It is a very noticeable difference and looks really strange. I understand that he is meant to be a tall guy, but I think that the animators went a little overboard with the height :P It also always bugged me how Surge is said to be from America. I always considered pokemon to be its own world with several regions and as far as I'm concerned America is not one of the pokemon regions lol but thats just a minor pet peeve.

    I really enjoyed this episode! Keep up the great work! This podcast is awesome!!

    Thank you for the get well wishes! It was quite the adventure, but it seems I'll get back to normal life without too much trouble.
    I'm so glad you're enjoying the podcast! Even when I'm a bit 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' like the last one, lol
